Chorley Equestrian Centre
About us
Chorley Equestrian Centre is a British Horse Society Approved riding school and Pony Club Approved Centre situated on the edge of the West Pennine Moors. Whilst the centre is nestled in the heart of Lancashire's Hill Country it is only three miles from the market town of Chorley and two miles from junction 8 of the M61giving easy access from all areas.
The centre was established approximately 20 years ago and has been built up from a small farmhouse and barn to the busy, friendly, family riding school that it is today.
The centre is run by Janet Berry (BHSII) and her team of highly qualified teaching staff. There are approximately 28 horses and ponies from 11.2h to 16.2h catering for all ages and standards of riders, from total beginners right up to Stage 3/Stage 4 level exam students.
Hacking is available for experienced riders in the local beautiful countryside on quiet roads and tracks. This is however, only available at off-peak times during the week.
The facilities include an indoor school, outdoor sand arena, a cross country course and 34 acres of land.
